The next meeting will be held on 

January 8, 2008 In Ms. Coufal's Room (Across from the Cafeteria). 

Starting at 7:00 p.m. 

The Annual TYB Meal/Auction will be held on Sunday February 3, 2008, at the St. Peter's Catholic Hall in Blessing.

Meal/Raffle tickets can be purchased from any 4-H/FFA member. 

 

 

 


TYB is committed to supporting Tidehaven FFA, Country Youth 4-H, and El Maton 4-H members with their Matagorda County Fair Animal Projects.

Tidehaven Youth Booster By-Laws

  1. Name: The name of the organization shall be the Tidehaven Youth BOosters and may be referred to as TYB.
  2. Purpose: To support market livestock shown at the Matagorda Country Fair by an eligible child/dependent of a TYB member.
  3. Definition: an eligible TYB child/dependent is one who participates in all required TYB activities and fundraisers.
  4. Membership: Any parent or guardian of a student belonging to and showing underthe title of only one of the following: El Maton 4-H, Country Youth 4-H, or Tidehaven FFA, who raises a project for the Matagorda County Fair and the above Membership Leaders become a member automatically.
  5. Officers: The elected officers of this organization shall be Presiden, Vice-President, Secretary, Treasurer, and Standing Committee of Fund-Raising, all to be elected at large. Service will be for one year in that position.
  6. Time: This organization will be set for a school year.
  7. Meeting: There shall be at least nine meetings each year, plus special meetings needed. Meetings will be on the same date a the El Maton 4-H at the Tidehaven High School.
  8. The exectutive committee will meet at least 30mins. before regular meetings to work up an agenda when neccessary.
  9. The Bidding Committee will discuss prices of the Matagorda Coutny Fair during the regular meeting prior to the fair. The Bidding Committee will decide prices for the Matagorda County Fair at a special meeting held prior to the auction.
  10. There must be a quorum of 10people present for items to be voted on by the majority.
  11. The by-laws and constitution can only be changed at the Oct. monthly meeting.
  12. This organization will abide by all county and school rules.
  13. A Standing Committee for the sole purpose of solicitation of buyers for non-sale animals will be developed at the regular meeting prior to the Matagorda County Fair.
  14. Any extra money will be dispersed at the discretion of TYB to all eligible childre/dependents of TYB members who raised an animal for the Matagorda County Fair. Disbursemnt will be made by the suppoted organizations.
  15. Any money not dispersed by the supported organizations shall be returned to TYB no later than the scheduled meeting in May.
  16. All decisions made by the exectuive committee shall be final.
